and the wind changes course

I had a business trip scheduled for the beginning of this week, which was slightly altered. According to my calendar I am in LA right now, but I am not. Yesterday I ended up flying from Minneapolis to Cincinatti, then getting right back on the plane and flying back. Made for a terribly exciting day.
I went out this past weekend. to a bar! by myself! I didn't stay out long, just spent some time talking to guys I know and milling about. The Saloon has built a new room where the patio used to be, very fancy, with a fireplace and everything.
I did meet a guy, which is always nice. We chatted for quite a while before he had to leave with his gang of friends to go see the drag show at the 90's. It was one of those great initial conversations where you "accidentslly" touch each others faces as you lean in so that you can hear what the other person is saying and look each other in the eye while you talk. He e-mailed me yesterday and we are going for coffee tomorrow, the last date of my 30's. I am looking forward to it.
