people come into your life for a reason

I have been thinking this morning about friends, people currently in my life and more specifically people who have been important in my life but for many reasons are not an active part in my life today. So, excluding the people I love and are currently active in my life, Brian, Fabian, Dan, Karen, Dubin, Billy, Julie, Bryan, Mike, Wayne,Laura, Matt, Scott, oh, the list goes on and on. But I would like to remember some friends from the past who have had a lasting effect on my life:
Libby Bunn- Libby was one of my best friends my senior year in high school, We went to see the Culture Club in 83, seats in the front row.I went with her to Jenss department store to buy her prom dress and the took her friend Julianne to the prom when her boyfriend broke up with her the night before. Libby made the decision to separate from me because of behavior of mine that had to do with the early stages of my alcoholism. She was wonderful then and I assume she is today.
Peter Atlas- Peter was a good friend during my time in Boston. He knew that I had a problem with chemicals long before I did. I have tried a couple of times to reconnect with him, but with no luck.
Wendy Attea- an amazing, creative, loving woman. Unfortunately I knew Wendy during a time when my using took off and I took advantage of her offered friendship. This was one really special lady and I didn't recognize how amazing she was. One day I will get over my ego enough to call her and acknowledge all of that.
Tim Heald- Tim may not belong on this list, because we are in contact today, but I am putting him on it anyhow. Tim was, like others on this list, supportive and caring during a period of my life when I was not able to accept that kind of treatment. I was not a good friend to him and I was not. I am delighted to have contact with him again.
There are many others, Cam Malcolm, Janette, Skip, Electa, Mike, Ellie, Randy, Jeff, but I have to work so that is the list for now.
Oh yea, did anyone else watch Flavor of Love and is embarassed to admit it? I loved when that Pumpkin spat on New York, that was awesome.
