he never done that before

It was a little more difficult to get out of bed this morning and be to the gym by 6. But I did it and I am glad I did.
Beautiful day here in the Sin Cities, aka the Twin Cities Minneapolis/St Paul, we are expecting temps of 74 degrees. It has been too long since we have seen those numbers here. Over the weekend I started to make the summer changes at my house. Took out patio furniture, actually had a fire in the backyard last night with a friend, it was very nice. Having the heat off and the windows open is always a good thing, makes the entire house smell like spring. There are flowers already, crocuses and such, and the day lilies and hostas have begun their takeover of all the beds. I love spring.
I was told by some friends this past weekend that I was going to have to take the lead in planning my upcoming 40th birthday party, as I have such high expectations that anything they plan will be a let down. I understand that this was meant kindly, that they want to see me enjoy the day, but with the mind set I have had lately it just makes me feel as if I am not worth the bother. There is a wedding for a good friend of some of my friends, so about 10 people who I would really want to be there will not be there, I am thinking more and more aboput just taking a weekend trip on my own and doing selfish things. This would feed very nicely into the loneliness I have been living in the last couple of month.

Excuse me, Lord Jesus, will you be renting or bringing your own crucifix? Loneliness? You get more than I do and I'm married. You are beloved of millions (ok probably hundreds but at least tens) and if people are going to be out of town for your 40th and you care about it (which you seem to quite a lot) then do it the next weekend or the weekend before-that way if osteoporosis or gout set in on your birthday you can say you went out with a BANG! And tell those lazy (40+) bitches to start planning a FABULOUS 40th- like they had back in the 70s! It's a celebration of 40 years of Gecklerness. Well worth marking and certainly worth waiting for!! Now drink your juice Shelby.

Have your GLAM PARTY at the wedding. Your big present will be the best man. And think what the bridesmaids can bring to YOUR party!!
