walking in a winter wonderland

Friday night I walked around New York, enjoying the looks of joy of people looking at Christmas lights and coming out of Broadway shows. It was a wonderful couple of hours.
The young man I was supposed to take to California decided to not accept help on Saturday, so I headed back to Minneapolis instead of LA. Disappointing, so I slept with the cats instead of Dustin, butit was ok.
Crazy busy morning, more later.

Hey Jim,
Welcome back to Minneapolis! And thanks for being there for others. Even when I didn't think your advice was helpful, I always knew (and continue to know)there is a voice of reason out there somewhere. Does that make sense?
Get your rest, man.
Brad :-)

Read Chapter Seven of your Big Book... letting go and trusting that you've done enough to plant the seed is hard, and an ego crusher sometimes. When you have more time you'll even get pretty damn pissed off at our disease when it takes out some of the people you know. It's a cruel and needless loss. Yet for all those I couldn't help (when I wanted them to get my help) it has been shown to us that all around us there are little miracles and victories. There is cause to have faith that one day this disease will be but a distant memory, and no one will have to remain in the throws of their addiction--or even have to become addicted in the first place. Each little part we do helped the world get there, even if it appears we lost a skirmish now and then.

I've been so worried that your plane may have taken a nosedive from 30,000 feet and spiralled into the ground at 600 mph causing a huge explosion, killing hundreds on the ground and digging a crater the size of Lake Erie, leaving us far away people never to know of your true demise.
Guess not.
Welcome home.
