I'm singing in the rain

This morning on the way into work I started to get frustrated that a police stop on the side o f 35W had slowed my morning commute and that it looked as though it would take me 20 minutes instead of 15 to get to the office. Then I thought for a moment about the people in the 10 hour traffic jams trying to leave Houston, running out of gas on the sides of the road. It reminds me of those end of the world meteor crashing into the earth movies with lines of cars stalled on the highway. Crazy, my heart goes out to all the people.

Hopefully we will all have a safe and happy weekend.

Gratitude lists help me a lot with this type of thinking.

I thought of that scene from the movie too. It really could have been bad but the City government came to the rescue. I think they did a good job considering they've never tried this before.
