I never reckoned second best

There was a feature this morning on the Today show(missed you this morning Katie, you know how I feel about Campbell Brown!)about the man hug. Having a large number of hetrosexually identified male friends the phenomenom of the man hug is a frequent topic of conversation in my world. Leaning in from the waist, to avoid any possibility of groinal contact, the man hug is quick, lightning fast at times, ending with a closed fist tap of each others backs.
Watching guys, especially hot young guys greet each other in this manner is like an episode of animal planet. Really riveting.
Have a great weekend, I know I will.

I'm sorry I missed this story. It is so true though :) The hug I get from my gay friends, is VERY different from the one I get from my straight friends, and I never really thought about it until your post. I may have to lean the groin in more next time, and see what the reaction is :-)

One of my gay friends' version of a hug is to sling an arm around my shoulders and crush them against his shoulder. Like a headlock for the shoulders. It's awful and more than a little painful.
Full body hugs are the best.
