Third Step
God, I offer myself to Thee--
to build with me and to do with
me as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self,
that I may better do Thy will.
Take away my difficulties,
that victory over them may bear witness to
those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love,
and Thy Way of life.
May I do Thy will always.
I have to speak about the third step today at a meeting, share my experience, strength and hope.
I have never spoken at this meeting before, it is a very large on and I am somewhat nervous about standing in front of this group. A friend suggested that instead of focussing on the third step I simply point out people I know at the meeting and present their inventories.
It is tempting.
