Christmas
You will all be excited to know that I am putting a Christmas list together. I know that you are sitting up late at night trying to make a decision, so I am here to help.
I am watching ER, good episode tonight, about a hopeless alcoholic dying. The people in the ER are making sure that he does not die alone.
I had a partner who died in 1991, I sat with him as long as they would let me, I wanted to make sure that he wasn't alone. Being part of this, being at least a witness to the very end of someone's time here was an amazingly calm experience. I have always regretted being drunk during it, but it was the way I made it through. I am so grateful each day that I don't have to drink or get high now. There have been times when I have keep my sobriety as a way to honor Bobby.
Oh yea, I am going to Seattle for Thanksgiving weekend, any suggestions?
