Edward's Rally

Went to the U of M this morning to see John Edwards speak. The Heinz boys were there, with Max Weinburg, the guys from Wilco and Ashton Kutcher. Okay, he is hot, but he is also very well spoken. The only thing that bothered me was that when he took off his Prada suit coat he had the circular lump in his back pocket that is only made from a chewing tobacco container. Ugh, and kind of hot.

LIFE IS GOOD TODAY!

I had a wonderful day yesterday with friends, and a great evening with Tom.

Kissing really rocks.

Wallace Stevens Sunday

Complacencies of the peignoir, and late
Coffee and oranges in a sunny chair,
And the green freedom of a cockatoo
Upon a rug mingle to dissipate
The holy rush of ancient sacrifice.

I love quiet sunday mornings with good coffee and meet the press. I am excited about the upcoming election. I will be voluntering with Outfront Minnesota on election day, so I expect to see you all at the polls. Remember if for some crazy reason you have not registered to vote, you can do so on election day at the polls here in minnesota.

Went to see Shall We Dance last night. JUST HORRIBLE! Even though Richard Gere's ass looks amazing, it did not save the movie from the acting "talents" of Jennifer Lopez. After the movie a woman commented on how refreshing it was to see a group of adult men(there were 6 of us)at such a romantic movie. She was surprised that we saw it before women made us go. Apparently I can label myself straight- acting appearing. Who knew?

Starting Over

This is the BEST show ever on TV. A group of stereotypical women with crystal clear problems, and easy solutions waste time and money with a "life coach"(what the fuck is a life coach anyway?). Someone just need to tell the to shut up and face their problems. I LOVE this show, it gets me going. I do have to say though, that the first season was much better.

Had another date with Tom, the bingo guy. As I have said before I have had a crush on him for years, and now I find myself making out with him for almost an hour in the car. Does anything in the world feel as nice as razor burn on your face? I ask you that. He is coming over to my house on weds., for dinner and a movie, wink, wink.

The job situation is also working itself out nicely. All these things that were meant to be. Odd, how do I manage to be happy without a life coach?

FIRED!

I have had some trouble posting lately. I write these long heartfelt tomes and they don't make it on my blog. Life has taken some interesting turns this last week and I am excited to see where I am going.

Had a great date with Tom, another is planned for next week.

Lost my job for opening the store late, pain in the ass, but have been flooded with job offers, so I am concerned but not panicked. Roommate moved out, which was timed wonderfully with losing my job. I am keeping this brief, lets see if it makes the blog. Oh yea, most importantly, through all this, I didn't drink or use drugs. So it is all good. See you at Minnesober!

damn

It seems that this is the year to lose your job. At least for me. I misread my personal schedule and did not get my store opened on time and lost my job yesterday. Boy that blows, 3 years and 1 fuck up, harsh.

Oh well, grieving time is over, time to re group. I have already been offered something, so I will not be eating ramen noodles, at least for a few weeks.

Bye Bye Scott

Well, my roommate of the past two years has moved out and I decided to take the plunge and live alone. A little more expense than I would like to be putting out, but it hs nice to live by myself. I have spent the past few days throwing things out, it seems like a great time to simplify my life, cleaning and showering with the bathroom door open!

Plus, Scott, the former roommate, is a republican, so now there is no one here to argue with me aboout politics.

Went to see the new John Waters film the other day. HORRIBLE, don't waste your money, not even on the rental. Sad, Female Trouble is a great movie, this new one is a sad attempt to shock.

Had a great date on thursday with Tom, who I ran into at Bingo. What a cute guy. We went to dinner, had amazing and easy conversation, off to coffee then kissed goodbye as the moonlight beamed through a tree onto us. Very romantic. We are going out next week, he is out of town this week. Wish me luck, it would be nice to have a boyfriend again.

My friend Bryan is coming to stay next weekend for Minnesober. It is always great to see him. One of those people that falls right back into the old habits right off. Very cool that I now have a guest room.
